At BIA College, we take pride in our modern computer lab that is equipped with all the necessary facilities to provide our students with a comprehensive information technology ( IT) training experience. Our IT training program is designed to cater to students of different proficiency levels, starting from fundamental concepts and progressing to advanced skills.

Students at BIA College primarily enroll in the 7-year Certificate of Higher Education (Moulavi) course, where the first two years are dedicated to Arabic and Shariah studies. From their third year onwards, students are provided the opportunity to delve into IT training as part of their curriculum.

The IT training program commences with laying the foundation by teaching the basics. This approach ensures that all students can easily understand and navigate the course content, regardless of their level of prior IT knowledge. Initially, students receive practical training in computer usage for day-to-day activities, covering topics such as Microsoft Office packages, photo & video editing, internet basics, web designing, and basic computer troubleshooting skills.

Upon mastering the basics, students can opt to further their IT education by enrolling in specialized courses such as The Computer Programming course offered by the University of Moratuwa and the Artificial Intelligence (AI) course provided by The Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT). These Open Learning Platforms present various learning paths tailored to diverse IT career aspirations. Upon successful completion of these programs, students receive a certificate endorsed by the respective University, validating their newly acquired skills and knowledge.
